Sweeney. I have 2 that are over 30 years old. All I've ever done is get new SLA's for them every 4 or 5 years. Those suckers won't lose 5 minutes every 6 months.

I'm with you... I do have a Sweeney that was handed down to me from my dad a LONG time ago but it has had some work done over the years but is now a house feeder. I have 4 feeders with the magnum throwers and a solar panel, I know one of them ran for 15+ years before having issues...

I make my own feeders but use spin tech and everlast. They have both been great and haven't had any issues. I did have a rough go starting out with wild game feeders, them sorry POS feeders wouldn't last six months.

All Season here too, going on 8 years. I do use solar panel. One quit once when lightening hit a tree close by. pushed the reset button and i fired right up again.

We have several of the Kenco Lifetime feeders that are 15-20 years old and still slinging corn. Sure do hate they ain't available anymore.

                        The Timer.....

Starting year 9 with same unit, and solar panel without a single issue. Had to change out 12 volt battery at year 6 or 7 because I noticed it was reading low but it had not stopped feeding. Solar panel has hail damage but keeps on ticking. I have another matching one on year 8 with same results. Best feeder I have ever owned or used. I'll continue to use them until they stop making them and these ever fail.

HCR timer that's 12 years old. I bought it my senior year in Highschool from Dickinson feed. Well It stopped working several years ago. I sent it back to Burnet Tx and for $10 they rebuilt it. Great folks to deal with. I haven't a clue what brand the feed motor is.

Spincast on one for 20 yrs was still working strong when I pulled it off. The Timer on the other for about 13 hrs now working like a champ.

I'm surprised Spincast is getting so many favorable mentions here. My Dads were junk. I have never spent as many "feeder didn't go off" hunts with any other unit than a Spincast.

Ultramatic in the last 5 years or so. Before that, Spincast for a 6vdc unit.
