John Erickson is a Great Writer.
Hank the Cowdog was and is a classic series of books.
If you haven't read any of his other books, you should.
Any of his Western Life series (about cowboying and ranch life) are outstanding.
"Through Time and the Valley" is about a trip he made by horseback through the Panhandle. It was inspired by John Graves great book, "Goodbye to a River".
All very readable books by a guy who's the real deal.
He knows what he's writing about.
