Shop Fans - What is everyone using?

Just curious what people are using for a shop fan. I have a typical 2 car garage that I will be doing a lot of work in over the summer and need something that will move some air around so I don't die in there. I have a 24" fan I bought from Tractor Supply that I use, but even on low that thing blows like crazy and it is super loud.

Any recommendations for something that isn't too big that will push some air around in the garage to keep it tolerable this summer?

I don't know what mines called, but it's a big orange circular thing on wheels that I got at Home Depot. I use it in my 2 car garage and it will move a lot of HOT air!

This is what I have in my shop. The humidity level here is for most of the year under 30%. These swamp coolers are very effective under that humidity level. They are not at all effective over about the 40% humidity range. The lower the humidity the cooler they run. Over about the 30-40% humidity range they really only blow warm/hot air.

I also have a big round fan on wheels that came from either Home Depot or Lowes. It is loud as heck even on low speed. If you have another door in the garage other than the main garage doors, open it to try to get cross ventilation. That seems to really aid the fan.

I have two of these in my shop and they move a lot of air. I figure that one in a two car garage would work great.

I have a big ole outside a/c thing. Can't remember what it's called, uses evaporative cooling, when I use it it keeps the area 70 degrees lol

X2, it will definitely move some air. I have 10 x 10 roll up doors on the north and south side of my shop and it take all of the air out of the shop fast. I don't even have to sweep up after I am done

Thanks for the replies guys. Much appreciated. I am kinda low on space because I only have the 2 car garage to work in, and the old car I am working on in there. I have a shed out back for some storage, but I need to get it to where I can put my mower in that shed cause it takes up valuable garage space. So need to find something smaller that I can wall mount or stow away fairly easy.

I saw these at HD this weekend. Would work well, but I would have to find floor space for it that I wouldn't have to roll it out of the garage every time I wanted to work in there or park once I get the engine swapped in the car.

Yeah, I don't imagine these work well around Houston where the humidity rarely gets below 60% especially in the summer time even without rain. Also, again I am working on an old car and the last thing I need is to introduce more condensation into the area. Guess I didn't mention that in my original post.

I would love to do this in my garage I just fear there isn't enough room. It's only an 8' ceiling in there and I would be afraid of someone pulling their hands over there head or carrying something and smacking it. It would definitely keep some air moving out there though that's for sure. Still may have to keep this in the back of my mind for an addition later since I roll up the door manually anyway.
