What grunt calls do you use on bucks?

Mudshack's thread on the buck growl got me looking around on the net for grunt calls. Mine has seen better days and also when the reed gets damp it does not work.

Which ones do you guys use and why?

      Primos Original Can

Not a grunt call but I've had extremely good luck with the Primos Original Can. Called back a 10-point, three years ago, that was leaving the feeder. Turned the can over twice and here he came. The next year I was hunting a place where we were taking 4.5 yr olds or better. I had a nice 12-point that was 3.5 yrs old come to the feeder as he was leaving I let him get about 50 yards out and called him back with the Primos Can. The third time I called him back he had actually went under a fence into another pasture. When I turned over the can he jumped the fence to come and investigate. Never had this happen with a grunt call.

I use my own grunt, sounds more like a pig I suppose but seems to be working for me. Now if I could only bleat like a doe.

I bought a grunt call about 20 years ago called a Haydell DG-87 made in Louisiana.I don't even know if they make them anymore but this one has been a good one for me.

Got a couple, never had a deer come to them yet. Hoping for it this year.

Haydel was the one I was trying to think of. I had one years ago that worked very good.

I bought a Primos Rubberneck and it is what I currently use, but I would not recommend getting one. When the temp drops below about 50 it sticks and squeals pretty bad. I am going to be getting a different one soon.

Haydels NT02 is my grunt of choice is a inhale call that wont stick no matter what the condtions and you can do real short and fast chasing grunts with ease. I grunted in 2 bucks last saturday morning (nubbin and a young 7)

Of the three grunt tubes I have ever owned....the MAD Buck Growl gives the most realistic deep grunt sound. Just like the big 8pt that grunted on ever other step for about 15 min behind a doe he was chasing last year. The normal grunt tube is inside of onther larger rubber chamber. When you use your hands, you get some good deep little grunts. I tend to call it the "hut hut hut" grunt. Real short, deep, and over and over like a chasing buck.

Sure-Shot Game Calls from Groves Texas - The Model 3000 Grunt Deer Call. I have a couple of them, one is tweaked to sound slightly higher pitched (young buck) and the other a deep tone (mature buck).
