    Scorpions in town

I've always been told to check your shoes if you leave them outside because you might have a scorpion in them. Heard other people talking about seeing them but I never have, in San Antonio at least. Last night my dog was being crazy outside so I went to look, that little idiot was messing with 2 of them. She's lucky they didn't bust her. Little tan ones, maybe 3" long. Are there lots of these things around? Any type of poison I can put out? Are they poisonous?

Hate those little bastages[emoji35]! We had plenty when we lived in Austin. No help on what to use to get rid of them.

At my house in llano you have to check your boots if you leave em inside. You also have to check the bed before you get in it. Hate those sneaky aholes

Man they hurt. First time I ever got hit, I had one in my boot with my foot in there. He popped me 7 times before I got my foot out. Next time was after I got out of the pool and had my towel hanging of the tale around the pool. When I was drying off he stung me right on the nipple. We used to go out to the pool at night and catch 15-20 every night. Good times.

I use Bifen XT. Works great. It's a little pricey but one 32 oz bottle will last you a couple of years. I spray my house every three months and don't have a problem with them.

Lol I have been popped so many time by those little bastages!!!! Latest was last Friday right on my big toe. Little A'hole was in my snake boots. You can spray for them and that works for awhile. I keep glue boards out and that catches a lot of them.

In San Augustine we have a ton of bark scorpions. Kill 2 or 3 every time we go to the lease.

My in laws have them in San Marcos and they are in town basically, half acre lots anyways.

We have them in town in Sweetwater and all over the place at our lake house in Burnet.

Hate the little heathens. I always shake out shoes but I've always worried more about spiders being in there than those. Now I'm more paranoid.

The good news is they're only a couple of places in the world they don't kill you. Texas is one of them.......

If they worry you setup with an exterminator for quarterly service; its made it easier for my family. Or just rub a little tobacco juice on the sting the way I grew up. They're a serious problem for only a few people with a real allergy. Otherwise they just make you look where you put your feet.
