Wow, I dont know how they were set to go off but if those two boys had messed with it rather than telling their father this could have been really bad. I hope there is some way for them to catch whoever left these there.

I'm from Rosebud and am there most weekends and drive across that bridge several times per weekend. It's crazy to hear. Haven't heard too many details yet. Dad is in the VFD but didn't make it to the call. Haven't heard too many details yet though.

I thought it was an unexploded military device that had washed up under the bridge. I did not know it was an IED! Yea a little scary.

It's not scary at all. From the description, it was a coke bottle filled with gas that was then wrapped in shot gun shells. If it were to go off it would not have done anything to the bridge, but it was designed to hurt people.

I made worse and more effective things than this when I was a kid.


To me, this was not done by a terrorist. It was done by either a bored kid or a crazy redneck.
