    Round pen build

how difficult would it be to DIY 50 foot round pen build? What would estimate be on cost?

I assume can either use permanent post to attach panels to or just do it portable? Thanks for advice

Check Craigslist. Many times you can find them there for about $700.
Cheapest place to get new panels is in Mt Pleasant at Prefert'a scratch and dent yard. We got on new for about $750 there. Takes about 15 minutes to set up.

If you are referring to a pen to keep hogs and cattle away from feeder you can build one for 300 bucks or so, I use 32 inch hog panels, I think 8 of them would be close to a 50 foot circle.

Where I'm from a "round pen" is used for breaking/training horses to a state of being able to get on, a 50'er makes for a whole lot of cowboying. Not bustin anybodies chops, it just struck me that I missed a terminology change somewhere, but I'm gettin' to the age where that happens more and more.

On a bowhunting forum, I would take a round pen as a feedpen but I'm weird like that and obviously wrong here.....

50 is a pretty tight circle. I'd go 70 if I had the space and bucks.

I have been around horses quite a bit and knew what he meant by a "round pen." I call a feed/feeder pen a feeder pen. If you will be working or using it to lunge young horses in it I wouldn't mind it being smaller but if kids will be riding good and broke horses in there then I would go big as possible so they wont get bored

The panels take very little time to put up. Less than 30 minutes you could have that put up. If you have the space and funds, I would suggest going up a size or two. Can't remember where we purchased or how much we paid for ours, wife handled it. Did order it online and had it delivered.
