A man with a shotgun entered the building and fired multiple shots, officials said.

The building is located across the street from Franz Elementary and Morton Ranch High School, which are on lockdown.

Harris County Precint 5 Constable's Office confirms multipe people have been shot. Their conditons are unknown.

The shooter is down, officials say.

I Have known the family for 20 years. Very strong in there faith. I was amazed at the strength of the parents and siblings. They loved there beloved son and brother but God and Mike were both present, 100% during everyones visitation on Monday night in Katy.

The mother "Patty" asked for prayer for the young man that was with Mike when shot. He is going through a horrible time, Thats how the Dawid family is, selfless in every respect. She also mentioned she and her family were fine, Fine because they knew Mike's faith in God and that alone brought them all the comfort in the world..
