Anyone use a 2x lens on their bow sight?

Was cruising the interwebs and came across a 2x lens that will fit on my bow sight Iv never seen one before and was wondering if anyone on here uses one and what do yall think about it is it worth a try?

I have one on my HHA optimizer sight and love it. I cover it walking to and from my blind to keep moisture and dust off.

Does the magnification really make much of a difference that you can tell?

I use one from time to time on my black gold but I think mine is 4x. I like it from about 50-80 but the target isn't perfectly clear. If any moisture gets on it I'm screwed. Can't see anything at all

It helps most when I'm out past 30 yards

Need to get you a yellow clarifier and it'll clear that up. I don't use any lens on my hunting bow.

I had a 4x with a clarifier peep which is a must but had issues with the clarifier unscrewing. It made shots inside 20 a little harder because of the magnification but farther shots were nice with it. A 2x would probably be a really good medium.

This is all pretty new to me so if I do use a magnified lens I should use a clarifier peep? And what brand peep do you suggest

I can't remember off hand what brand my peep/clarifier is but you will need it to use a magnifier on your sight.

I'm not a pro at this. Here's what I have been told.
                      Clarifiers clear up your target.
                      Varifiers clear up your pins.
                      These screw in your peep.
You will need a threaded peep to screw in either one.
Get a hooded peep to cut down on glare.
Get a scope cover for your lens for the same issue.

If you can see clear with just a 2x lens you won't need a clarifier or verifier.
If your targets fuzzy get a clarifier.
If your pins are fuzzy get a verifier.

I had one on my sight before. Magnification was nice but it was out of focus enough that I eventually took it off.

I tried one for a while but developed some bad habits trying to shoot too small

2X will improve clarity with just a little magnification, which has little effect on field of view. You need one that impacts the same with or without the lens. This allows you to pull it in poor weather conditions.
