Shot this sow last night right before the rain came down. I was hunting turkey in an open pasture when I heard hogs at a feeder about 30 yards out. I snuck in through some trees and she gave me a perfect quartering away shot at 20 yards. The arrow went straight through and she went around some brush. I thought I heard her doubling back coming towards me so I pulled out my .45. Turned out to be piglets. Contemplated putting them down, but I didn't want to make noise and have my pig go further. Well, sure as chit 10 minutes later it started to rain. I walked up and down looking for her since the blood trail was quickly disappearing and I found her down the road about 40 yards out.
