Woke up at 11:45 house flooding. Water coming in garage & front door! Looked outside in front yard & couldn't see street and water was like a raging river covering 3/4 of my mailbox. Water in house about 2" deep. Not exactly sure how to handle this right now as I've never been through this. Sad thing is my house is under contract & closing date is May 20th. This sucks big time!

Move all valuables up if possible protect yourself from electric shock unplug any power strips or cords that are in water. Hopefully you have flood insurance.Comment

Sorry this happened to you. Happened to my mom last year. TAKE PICTURES of everything now. The get a razor blade and start getting the carpet and pad out immediately. Open windows and doors and if you have some big fans turn them on. Just try to get everything dried out before mold grows everywhere.Comment
