Like a lot of others, I got nailed by the hailstorms in DFW, and I filed an insurance claim. The adjuster came last weekend, and we went over his estimate on his computer. I was satisfied with what he showed me, and he said he would email the estimate to me.
He sent me an email with an XActimate.dat file attached, which I cannot read.
He sent me a second email, saying he made a mistake, and another XActimate.dat file was attached. He did not say what the mistake was.
I get a letter and a check from the insurance company, and it is 2/3 of the estimate I saw. I want to know what the "mistake" was.
Does anyone here have Xactimate software, and is willing to convert my Xactimate.dat files to something I can read?
I did not find a "reader" on the Xactimate website that is free to use.
Thanks in advance,
Randy
