I commented and said it was not as reliable and i dont think it will ever be as reliable as the standard 10/22. Mine has a hard time running the BX25 mags that came with it. And im not crazy about the williams sights that come on the threaded version. They are very big and cover up small targets. But the put these on so you can see over the suppressor which is the whole reason with why i bought one to shoot it suppressed.

Its handy to put in the bag and stick in the Ranger, toobox or under seat of truck. Other than that i could take it or leave it.

I had a 10 22 growing up and have always liked them. Bought the take down a few years ago for around $300 at academy. Shoots great, only negative I think is your are limited on optics (harder to put a scope on a takedown). I recently bought a regular 10 22 at academy for $209, and am in the process of upgrading the barrel, stock and trigger. You can get some pretty cheap stuff online and if you are diligent, Ebay.

I run BX25x2's all the time with no issue. May just be your gun?

If you MUST use a scope, it will need a quick attach system. It won't fit in the case pockets...but will if you just sandwich it. This would be the only issue I can say

I don't have a a 10-22 take-down but it is made similar to the Browning and unless you mount the scope on the barrel on the Browning every time that you do a take-down the point of aim changes.

Alot of poor info here unfortunately. I have one and absolutely love it. It runs fine with every mag/ammo combination I've tried. Not all scopes will fit in the pocket but there are several that will ( I went with the little Nikon AR 3 power). Also the scope is receiver mounted so point of impact changes have not been an issue at all with mine. Aside from being alittle overpriced in my opinion I think they are great. I also own an older regular 10/22 that has been outstanding.

I love mine. Got a great deal on one at a gun show and it's been dead reliable for the last 3 years.

I have the 10/22 takedown. They're okay for what they are. Buy the Ruger brand extended mags, easier to deal with. Lots of mods available. They are the poor man's AR.

I the tactical model and the take down, love both, have no problems with either. Both have thousands of rounds thru. My daughter will shoot the reactive steel plates ALL day with them. Can't put a price on that

I have a 10/22 Takedown and put a Nikon P-223 3x32 on it. Fits in the backpack case just fine.

I'll take it out and post a pick of it later this afternoon.
