Drilling into home concrete slab. 9storm shelter and safe)

Anyone have any experience about drilling into your concrete home slab? I am thinking about have a storm shelter and my safe installed into my garage. Just curios if the drilling does anything to the foundation? Thanks

    Shouldn't hurt it at all.

Should be fine. Just be sure to not hit a post tension cable if your slab has them.

I did on mine, wasn't too bad. Just make sure you have a drill up to the task.

Thanks for the advice. The company is out of Rockwall named Family Safe. The guy said the storm shelter screws go down about 4-4 1/2 inches and they use a machine to make they don't hit cable or pipe.

Yeah, if you have a tension slab, they better x-ray, or whatever method they use. We always x-rayed before coring a slab in a bldg.
