    Jerky storage

My oldest son has moved to Hawaii and has always loved my homemade beef jerky. We are going to see him this weekend. I made a big batch this past weekend in my Big Chief electric smoker, vacuum packed it in individual bags and put in refrigerator. Do i need to keep it cool during our flight or will it be ok in my luggage till we get there? Don't know if I screwed up by refrigerating it. Any help appreciated.

If it is vacuum sealed, it will be fine.

No reason to even put it in the fridge unless you just like it cold.

My initial thought on seeing the thread title was "You can keep jerky around long enough to need to store it?!?" Haha

It didn't when the boys were around. They are grown and moved away. We are getting together for a vacation and want to surprise them.
