    Video camera suggestions

I have self filmed my hunts for the last two seasons and really enjoy the added challenge plus having video of the cool things that happen while in the stand. I was fortunate enough to record two successful kills last year and now I am completely hooked.

I have been using a Sony Handycam that we bought new back in 2008. It has been great mostly because it is small and easy to use. I am considering upgrading. This camera will be used almost solely for hunting. Looking for good resolution, increased low light ability and durable.

    What does the GS suggest?

Congratulations to you on the video work, it's adds a lot of fun and is very addicting for sure.

I've been videoing my hunts for a number of years and really enjoying do it.

I've been running various Sony cameras since I've been videoing. However, just a few minutes ago I ordered a Canon Vixia HF G40 Camcorder.

I'm not sure how much you're looking to spend, but B and H photo is running sales right now on various models. If nothing else, take a look at the site, it will give you good information and the ability to compare a lot of different models.

Good luck to you and share the footage with us when you're done!!!!!

A DSLR is great for someone who wants to really get into photography.

if you buy one, like a 70D, that has decent video features. http://thedigitalcamera.net/canon-eo...he-difference/

I amm in the same situation. The 2 that I am looking at because of sensor size and video quality are Sony AX53 and Panasonic V770.Both are good in low light and have enough zoom for hunting. Can't decide yet.

Panasonic V770 looks like a good deal! Might have to check that one out myself
