not any kind of water bug like I have ever seen. I would call it some sort of "stink Bug"

Giant water bug. We get them all the time at the plant in beaumont.

Had a girlfriend get bit on the back by one while we were swimming in the lake. She thought a snake got her. Took awhile for her to calm down.
