Bass reel

I need to buy a new bait cast reel for a good friend.
I gave up bass fishing to spend more time with kids, golf and hunting years ago
So I am out of the loop. I was always a daiwa fan back in the day.
What is the best reel for $75 or less for "tank" bass fishing?

Lews, especially if you want quality for that cheap. You can fish ponds with just about any reel but at least the Lews will be nice and smooth and last longer than the academy or gander brands.

+4 on the Lews, I have fished all kinds of reels over the years, and for the money, I havnt found a reel that performs better than the reels that's Lews makes!

I have 5 or 6 h20 express mettle reels from Academy and I have put them through the paces for sure! Can't beat them especially for $50! Plus if anything ever did happen Academy will swap it out without any issue at all
