where did all the dove go

we went dove hunting the other day and between 4 people we only come out with 10 birds they werent there. its a realy good spot the first time i went there it was very plentiful. what happened?

hmm well I have seen a thousand birds one day and only 100 the next day. I'm pretty sure they can sense the weather changing also if there isn't much food around they will just keep moving until they find some.

A little blow off the gulf last month blew them to Canada then another blow from Canada blew them to Argentina.

a cold front will move them out (farther) South.....the next front will bring in more from the North....

At my feeder yesterday. At least 20+ of them helping themselves to my corn.

Yup. What Smart said. All the birds around my house are gone except a few "local" dove.

Plan on hitting a tank in the afternoon but haven't scouted out at the ranch but hoping I'm far south enough to pull out a limit.

Some of the guys said they saw some whitewing this past weekend too!!
