**Post up your Largest snake pics!**

With all the flooding around the State, I'm sure y'all are seeing a lot more snakes. Just wanted to see the gnarliest snakes y'all have seen, or killed. Especially rattlesnakes!

On a spring turkey hunt many years ago SE of San Angelo.

80" long and had 15 buttons and was broken off. Had just eatin a full grown west Texas jackrabbit.
We were chasing some jakes up on top of this ridge and noticed him sunning on some big rocks. He tried to slither under the rocks and the ole boy on the left reached in and grabbed him by the tail and slung him out.
There may or may not have been some Busch Lite involved! [emoji6]

Two different pregnant rattlesnakes, and my biggest rattlesnake (6'3'') I killed when I was 11 or 12 years old.

Do we have a rod and reel catch photo and release division?

that last photo scares the heck out of me, I have seen and heard about too many people bit by "dead" snakes!

Yeah I typically don't like showing it for that very reason, gives a bad perception of 'snake safety'. Truth is I had that snake mounted so we didn't want to cut the head off, so we opted to crunch his head with a shovel. I held it up quickly for a picture and then into the deep freeze he went. Completely understand where you are coming from though, it only takes a micro-second for an accident to happen
