I forgot to post a few weeks ago, but went to the lease for opening day for Turkey, and the turkey were not moving or talking, so I decided to hit a tripod stand that generally has some hogs come in for the evening feeding. It is set up for bow hunting, so I took some hand corn and spread out in a few openings which gave me up to about 100-125 yard shot with my AR15. Right at 6pm 5 hogs came out in the opening and started eating on my hand corn. I stuff my shooting stick in my boot and lay my rifle across my stick, line the crosshair right behind the ear and squeezed. The hog hit the ground and never moved again. This was the first thing that I have ever shot with .223 and I have to admit, I was thoroughly impressed. I was using 55 grain soft point and I actually hit about 1" below the ear at 80 yards. It dropped her like a bad habit. I didn't get a shot at a second one but maybe next time.
