Brazos River Question

I used to fish by kayak in the Brazos below Marlin for Gar and Catfish but due to my back and age I no longer fish from kayaks or canoes. I have been running my river boat on the Colorado above Buchanan but there are no alligator gar there only longnose gar. It there anyplace on the Brazos to launch a 16 foot aluminum boat with 40hp motor to chase alligator gar? I figure you guys would know.

There is a ramp a few miles west of Marlin where highway 7 and 320 come together.
