If you're bowhunting don't but Kuiu. The only piece they have that is remotely quiet is the Kenai hoodie/jacket. It will work for what you want if you wear a good wind barrier under it.

FL's Sanctuary Jacket is incredible. Might even be too warm for your range but is dead silent. FL is making a version of the Sanctuary for their 2016 lineup that is the same but somewhat lighter weight. Might be just the ticket.

I'm not too familiar with Sitka's lineup..

For pants, get some good synthetic underlayer like Cabelas or something. I'd recommend the FL Corrugates over them. You can move well in them and they are pretty quiet. Quieter than the Kuiu Attacks and Guides. Their Kanabs are great but may not be what you want in 20 degree weather..

IMO Sitka is good but overpriced and Kuiu are complete D-bags, so I buy almost everything from FL..

If you are just hunting treestands in Texas and the Midwest, all three of those are not what you want. They are mainly designed for active hunting where you are moving all day. The only exception is the new whitetail line up which Sitka made to garner the treestand guys. You would be better off buying King of the Mountain or Sleeping Indian wool if you are just looking to sit and stay warm.

I have about $5,000 worth of KOM and SI gear with some Raven Wear thrown in for when I lived in Michigan and hunting a lot of the northern states. Since I have moved to Alaska, now Im shopping for new gear and it will be either Sitka, Kuiu(although everything Ive tried on of theirs runs small) or first light. The wool gets wet and stays wet, which is no fun when you are out there for 12 days at a stretch on a river. If you are just going out to the lease and can get back and dry out, the high end synthetics are over kill. Just my $.02.

Have you looked at Predator Camo? Adrenaline and G2 suits are nice

All of the above. :-D don't be loyal to a brand, pick what you like from any maker and go with it.

I own a Sitka pack but no Sitka clothing, I do have some first lite and Kuiu pieces though and both are good but I give my Kuiu stuff a notch higher in quality.

I will say that first lites dedication to conseration causes is awesome though!

I'm not one to be loyal to a brand; I wear what I like and more so what works. Love my sitka light gear and wear it when it's 40 or 50's out. I would consider Kuiu, but do not own any. For the temps you described I have cabelas wool jacket and pants...they are awesome as well and I wear them (no layers) in freezing cold weather and am fine!

Same here. My longbow shots are inside 20 yards while wearing full Kuiu.

Has anyone tried the high end under armour line?

I have had certain products from First Lite, Sitka and Kuiu. All have pros and cons. I love the First Lite Chama 1/4 zip. If you are exerting and sweating profusely, you can zip it down, cool down, and still stay relatively comfortable. It will still keep you relatively warm even when damp from sweating. Layer back up when you stop and start to get cold. I really liked Kuiu rain gear but it ran very small in size. I now use First Lite rain gear. It fits true to size It has pit zips and zippers on the side of the legs so you can vent it as well. Very windproof, strong and lightweight. First Lite Kanabs are my choice for pants. For long john bottoms, I like a heavier weight of wool than First Lite offers in really cold weather. The First Lite Allegany long johns are good but not enough for my likes when really cold. Look at the Filson longjohns in heavyweight for long john bottoms. They are very pricy though ,even more that the others. I use a wool military sweater over the First Lite Chama 1/4 zip and if it is cold I layer over that with a Sitka Kelvin Vest and if really cold go with a Sitka Kelvin Jacket both of these in Primaloft. I will be chasing moose on the southern slope of the Brooks Range in September and believe this rig will protect me no matter what Mother Nature can throw at us. I believe all three brands are really good. It just comes down to what you prefer. Ford VS Chevy.

                            IWOM or Heater Body Suit.

I canoe in 2+ miles to hunt public land, and hunt colorado a lot. I have bought over $500 worth of Cabela's, Kuiu and First Lite stuff to find out that none of their jackets really do what I want for the adverse range of conditions that I am looking at.

There really isn't a one size fits all option, but the closest to me is an IWOM.

Merino Wool Base Layers are great, but merino is not the most durable outer fabric.

This! Very happy with the performance and quality of my KUIU pieces. Will hopefully be adding to them before season this year.

Only have Sitka myself. I hunt here in TX and also KS during November. I have the Stratus set. It's soft, comfortable, and very quiet. I wear it with light undergarments when in 40's. When it dips down I add a few layers consisting of merino skin layer and the kelvin vest with possibly another heavier long sleeve if needed. The Stratus is always my outer though. Sometimes walk in with under layers on and the heavier layer plus Stratus rolled up in my backpack to add once up in tree
