Butcher shop is good, but I like Juicys just as well. Can't go wrong with either one.

Butcher shop is pretty good, their fixins bar is nice. The beans at Juicy's take the cake though. I prefer their burger over Butcher shop, but not by much.

Ate there about 9 months ago. Still very good burgers in my opinion

I haven't been there in a little over a year, but I've never had a bad experience at the butcher shop. I say go for it!

Just saw this, and it may be too late, but...I like the Butcher Shop! Their burgers are great...patterned after Fuddruckers...and the chicken fried steak is also good! In fact, I have never gotten anything that is not good. You will love their deserts!

Almost forgot about the desserts, that is the kicker!

Yup. Butcher Shop is always good. If you're dead set on a burger, it's my number one pick.

Now, if you are dead set on the best homestyle cooking, my favorite is Bels Brother's diner on MLK. I'm not joking. It's a small place on South MLK towards I 20. Only has about 6 tables. It will not disappoint.

Butcher shop is ok. IMO Jucys is better.

I really like Leons steakhouse they have good burgers to.

Another vote here for Leon's. Butcher shop has gone downhill in the last 8 to 10 years (imo). If you change your mind and want tacos, Mi Kasita can't be beat (practically across the street from Butcher Shop.)

Burnadell is correct, the Butcher Shop is still great and very consistent every time. I ate there not long ago!

But, I do like Jucy's, too.

Ran out of time and didn't eat anywhere in Longview last night

Will file some of these places for future reference

BTW does Juicy's have a Taco branch?
Saw a sign somewhere towards Whiteoak that looked very close to Juicy's hamburger sign but it said Tacos. Pretty sure it was in a gas station on 80

There is one at the corner of the loop and Judson road I believe.

Dang! I have never heard of Bel's, but did some checking, and will have to get me some of that!

Jucy's had the franchise in Longview for Taco Casa. Last year they drooped the franchise and changed the name to Juc'ys Tacos. Still pretty much the same menu as Taco Casa, but he raised prices and added several other menu items. They are good! The one you saw was at the corner of 80 and Moseley Pkwy in the Shell convenience store/beer drive thru. I pick up tacos there regularly.
