Found a Few Older Things Yesterday

I was out at the property yesterday filling feeders, cameras, etc. I went down to our small spring feed creek and saw the top of a brown bottle next to a large root we use to cross the creek. After looking under the root I found theses about 4 inches down. The 2 larger brown bottles I know are old snuff bottles. They have 3 dots on the bottom. The smaller brown bottle have no markings or dots. Snuff Bottle? The Coke Bottle is a light green glass very thick glass. The Coke Bottle says Coca Cola Pat D Dec. 25. 1923 also know as the Christmas Bottle. It's marked Texarkana TX on the bottom. I looked this up and they were made 1928-1938...but they came out again in 1989. I don't think this is a newer one. The picture of the coke bottle isn't very good. It really has a lot of detail to it. I know these aren't worth a lot of money maybe $30-$40 dollars but it was really neat finding them with my son (12). Just wanted to share.

Those are nice. I found a bunch of old glass at a ranch I used to hunt. It is always cool to find a piece of history somewhere you least expect it.

Thanks, still wondering about the smaller brown bottle with no dots. Snuff Bottle?

What about the one with no dots on the bottom? Older maybe?

Well i thought I knew the answer but it seems that the dots on the bottom of snuff bottles do not mean what strength the snuff is but are actually the bottle manufacturer's identity.

Got on the Internet and everything I found says the dots are for strength. You found something different?

Yea on an antique board...they say that the old dots for strength are urban legend and that they are manufacturer dots.

I always thought they were to indicate strength but guess I was wrong.
