I'm out here at the lease (DeWitt Cty) hunting turkeys and trying to trap some pork. We have a pipleine ROW that runs the length of our western fenceline (approx 1 mile). This morning I set up my decoys closer to the south end of the ROW and struck out. While there, I heard 3-4 gobblers sound off in a treeline on the adjacent property at roughly 7AM. These birds were probably 5-600 yard north of where I was set up. It sounded like they crossed the fence and ROW headed toward the center of our property, but can't be certain. After calling it a morning, I went and pulled my SD card. At 7:05 this morning I had a gobbler wander through the area, but he never stopped or gave the corn a second glance. The friday before season, we saw another turkey in the same general area as my feeder as well.
Only one morning hunt left. So where do I hunt?
A: Hunt the ROW on a wing and a prayer?
B: Hunt the box where we have had only one TC pic of a turkey and one seen a couple weeks back?
P.S. They weren't real responsive to calls. I tried walking up the ROW to pull them in, but no luck.
