Standing family joke is that if something breaks - Dad will fix it with his Leatherman.

Leatherman Micra and a Pocketwrench. I've had the pocketwrench for over 20 years and use it at least once every day. Every one should carry one.

x2 on Leatherman Wave. The smooth blade is impressive in its ability to be abused and still hold a good edge. Sharpens easy, too. Serrated blade is good, too. Small tools (screwdriver big and small and tiny, phillips big and small, fit most of what I need. Bottle opener and saw work. Comfortable on the hand when working.

It's the Leatherman wave for me. Can't beat leathermans lifetime no questions asked warranty. Are they still all made in Oregon or have they gone overseas?

SOG powerlock for me. SOG customer service is second to none and will keep me a customer. Called and asked if there was a dealer in Houston that could order a part for it, admitted I was trying to save shipping. All the guy asked for was my address, had it in hand a few days later. Tool quality is good too.

Gerber. One hand deployment of pliers. I have a hole in my back pocket of just about every pair of jeans. I use it every day for something.

I have 3 Leathermans, a couple of Gerbers, a Victoinox and a SOG. My favorite is the Victorinox but I carry the Leatherman Wave and the SOG too. The Gerber pliers always pinch my hand so I leave them at home.
