    World Fishing

    Hey,

Many of you know that I love travel and adventure and I have been very lucky to a good deal of it. Well, one of my oldest and closest friends is planning on giving me a "flight pass" for next year that will allow me to fly by paying the taxes.

I know there are amazing fishermen here. I myself like fishing, but you could not call me avid. I have been able to fish some cool places for unique fishes. So, if you could travel anywhere, where would you go to fish?

Of course, if you have other adventure suggestions, I would like to hear those as well.

I still have to pay for lodging, transportation, and whatever activities I do when I get some place, but I hope to take a good number of trips (all I can scrape together money for).

Some things I am considering at this time.

    Panama for peacock bass
    Argentina for golden dorado

I have included a few pics just to set the mood.

That bottom catfish picture is cool.. Only I'd want a 100 lber.

Blue Fin tuna should be on your list if you never caught one.

Peacock bass or golden dorado?!? Tough choice but those golden are beautiful. My wife's uncle catches them all the time when he goes to Argentina. Have caught some monster peacock bass too

Is the first one a Grinnell? I don't know what most of those fish are but I'm pretty sure none of em live in E Tx outside the first one!! They can tear the hell outta a spinnerbait. I can't imagine what they did to a fly!!!

            Cool fishes!!!!

I'd definitely do Peacock Bass, Guatemala for Sails I've done before but will continue to do whenever the opportunity arises, especially on fly, I know a great outfitter if you would like the info.

I see that you like fly fishing. A group of my friends went to this place last May, and are going again next month

It is very isolated - in the middle of nowhere - about 1 1/2 hours flight south of Cancun on a puddle jumper . Of the 5 of them that went, 3 caught "the big 3" (bonefish, permit, tarpon) on fly rods. I really wanted to join them this year but can't get away...

Man, great pictures!! Looks like you have already had some awesome fishing adventures. If you have never done Alaska I would highly recommend. If I was in your situation I would ask AtTheWall. Dude has fished all over the world.

We should be asking YOU for YOUR advice.

                              Argentina or Chile for Salmon
