    How to apply bowstring wax????

I bought some Allen brand bow sting wax, it seems really hard.. Do you have to heat up the stick of wax then apply it?.. Any advice would be great!

just rub stick on string then use fingers to work it in string. It's not as hard as you might think

I use a hair dryer. Rub it on and take a hair dryer to it and it will melt it right in.

You can use a piece of leather to rub it in. The leather heats up the wax as you rub it.

I raised a blister on a finger once...... about 25 years ago and have been using a 2 inch square piece of leather ever since.
Rub the stick across the string and you will see it peel onto the string. I fold the leather over the string and have at it. The friction will melt the wax.
You should wax your strings at least ever week or so and more when it is hot and dry out.

Leather works really well. I would always use my shooting glove back in the old days before releases. Still use it.......but just for waxing.
