    Emergency Need For Lease

    We just discovered that our land owner was selling day hunts for hog, turkey, and possibly deer when we were not there. It was a shock and then of course the anger set in. The good news is that at this point they have no idea that we know but we caught them red handed this past weekend. We've been there 6 years and have never had other issues. So, now we must find a new lease and move out. There are 5 of us. We are conservation minded and have taken a place that was shot up and out and turned is totally around. Okay the big request, Does anyone have any leads on a lease available. We were in Mason County. We could and would drive a little further West, North or South. If you have info on a lease please PM me and I will respond very soon. Thank All for Any Help.

    Is there not a way to keep the lease and tighten up the contract?

    Leases are hard to come by

        Thanks we are working on it. After 6 years we've got tons of stuff over there. It was such a good place for us until this crap came to the surface.

              If it hasn't effected your deer hunting during deer season I would just roll with it until a new lease falls in your lap.

                  That's a good point, don't quit what you have until you find another. Or be prepared to go without for a while. It's tough out there.

                      Stay away from Val Verde area, high price and small deer, good luck in your search.

                        Ours was letting hog doggers out there when we weren't there so we rewrote the contract that said no one was allowed to hunt without our written permission and no one was allowed to run dogs except us. I haven't seen them on camera since, but they also know where the cameras are.

                              I'd stay on it another year and shoot everything that walks. Invite all of TBH for a group hunt!
                              Day hunt it and get some of your investment back.
                              I hate a POS landowner!
