    Moving a cabin?

So I'm moving and the new place has a small cabin out back. Would make a perfect deer lease cabin, but I have no idea on if it's movable or if it would be cost effective. It's sitting on cinder blocks now and looks to have some heavy boards running lengthways down the bottom. I want to say it's 14ft wide but I'd have to stick a tape on it.

So is it possible? If possible is it super expensive? Would be moving it about 200 miles. All great roads until the road from the gate to the camp, maybe 1/4 mile.

Anything is possible....but some things will cost more than others...contact a house moving firm in your area.

Most likely a roll back can move it.

this will probably be the least expensive way to go, but if it's over 8'6" wide you will need an overwidth permit, and if it's over 14' wide you will need a pilot car (escort), and do be sure to check your overall (loaded) height. if it's 17' tall or over you will need a high pole car.

The guy who moved mine charges $15 dollars a mile. Now you could probably find cheaper but i was in a pinch and needed it moved. 200 miles is gonna be a pretty penny i would guess!

My cabin is a 14' x 32' just for reference.

Just over 14' wide. I can do whatever it needs structurally for the ride. Just need a driver with a trailer and some jacks. Hope it ain't 15 bucks a mile!

I would try to sell it local and buy one closer to your new place, just a thought.

That is short enough to haul on a 45' gooseneck. Permit and get it done.

I think 30-35 ft long, but again I'd have to measure. I'd appreciate the number.

We have a trailer and truck capable of hauling the weight and length, I just have no idea on permits, or wide loader anything like that. Plus i've got no way to get it on or off the trailer.

Several bottle jacks and good solid blocks with several friends jack it up block it as high as your trailer back under it let it down slowly repeat process to unload it moved several like that a lot of work but can be done
