    food plots

I'm sitting here in the stand watching about a dozen deer in my neighbors food plot about 1/2 mile away, while not even a friggen squirrell has been to this particular feeder during daylight....

Is it too late to plant a food plot? I'm in east texas, in case that matters

No, it's not too late. You can plant it probably thrugh mid November. We plan to hit ours again in a few weeks.

We finished ours this week. Won't matter if we don't get rain.

Your running late but you could put in some Buck Forage oats. Till the ground, broadcast 120 /lbs per acre, drag with something that covers them with dirt. Pack the dirt as best you can, a roller is best but driver over it with a 4 wheeler a bunch. Throw down 13-13-13 fertilizer and hope for rain. You can't go wrong with forage oats.
