What is this thing called a sandbass?

I am near retirement and grew up fishing in Texas. Mainly Central Texas and the coast. I have caught my share of Bass, Crappie, Catfish, White Bass and Trout. I have also caught a few Drum, Flounder, Hybrid Stripper and Small mouth Bass.

I have fished Lakes, rivers, creeks, tanks and bays.

I do not know that I have ever caught a Sandbass. Do these come from those ponds that I hear of that some people have on their property.

I never knew what a white bass was till I moved from here to Ohio after getting married. Some one asked me if I wanted to go White bass fishing on Lake Erie. After hooking up on one, I knew exactly how to teach those yankee boys how to catch 2-3 at a time . Born and raised here in Texas. And never heard them called White bass till I moved up north (for 3.5 year of my life ).

Please do!!!! I really don't know why they don't raise the limit to at least 50 a per person. Little *****-holes take over . Most people only fish for them in the spring when they run and that isn't enough to keep them in check. I hate the dang thing

                            These things.

Annoying as all get out when you're trying to target other species but fun if you're after them.
