I just got a Spott Hogg Fast Eddie with the double pin.
For me it's the best of both worlds. The problem I had with a single pin was having 3 different trails under my stand. One was a 40 yd shot, one was 25 and the other was around 15yds. I shoot a fast bow but I didn't want to guess out that far.
With elk hunting, what would I do if I'm at full draw and he spooks while I'm at full draw? I'd have to either guess or let down and adjust. I didn't like that at all!
The double pin solves part of that at least because it gives me a second indicator without sacrificing any of my sight picture.
A 3 pin would be the next best compromise but I much prefer vertical pins rather than horizontal.
