    How long is your commute?

Wife and I are about to buy our second home, we've found one we love, but the commute to work for both of us is right at an hour, one way! We both work m-f.

Question is, how long is your commute to work and is it/would it be worth it for you to have a home which was exactly what you wanted in a house if it meant 2 hours in a car every day. Right now I drive 15 minutes one way, she drives 35.

Looking for advice here, wife is on board with it, but I don't want to hear "I can't take this drive anymore" 6 months down the road.

About 45 min each way. We just bought another house and it is the same commute. We love our new home and neighborhood, so it is worth it to us.

That's a long drive to have to do twice a day, I used to commute from west Houston to downtown and the long drive got old. My current commute is about 40 feet, 50 feet if I stop for coffee.

I'm in Houston. One day in Baytown, next in PortArthur, next Orange, next Evadale, next Lake Charles, next Victoria, La Porte, Beaumont. You get the picture. Then to the house every afternoon

I forgot to mention, traffic is not a problem for either of us, the entire hour is driving, so atleast we won't be spending time sitting still

I drive about 30 minutes including a stop at Bucees. I would drive an hour + if it kept me out of the city.
