    Buying hogs, questions

I'm building a large paddock/ enclosure some some wild hogs. Has anyone built one? Do you have any suggestions, recommendations and etc? What fencing material did you use? I want to us the pen so I have hogs for my dog to bay and for us to BBQ. Also, I know some of you sell wild hogs. I don't have a trailer, what's you suggestion on transportation?

Seen them built with cattle panels and/or concrete matting cut to desired height. Also they dig a trench and had them buried and concreted in the ground and extremely well braced and in a perfect circle.

What I have seen at big drop off operations are large circle pens. Cattle panels with cedar posts tied to the inside to block their view of the outside world and prevent them from using the cattle panels as a ladder. The entire center was like a dug out pit with water hole on one side.
Did see a large boar jump at 6ft fence while I was there. Did not clear it but got front feet over and worked his way over.

My Dad built an enclosure to do something similar to what you are. He used cattle panel and made a huge circle pen. Lined the entire inside of the pen with plywood to keep them from climbing out. Added a divider so he could separate them when needed. He also has a chute similar to a cattle pen for loading and unloading.

Thanks. The circle pens are supposedly better since square pens allow the hogs to climb on eachother and jump out.
