Class c water license

How hard is it to get one? Are there online courses for them? I'm specifically looking at the class C surface water operator license. (For now)

I think you have to go to an actual class for a couple days. I don't think they offer it online. I know for a fact that is how it is for the Waste water operator license.

Don't you have to get a D first then some many work hours then test?

You will need some actual experience in water treatment to get the license.

I had to go to a 3 day class for th class d license, then had to take an exam. Used to be able to take the test after the class at the same location. Now, u gotta wait til u get your certificate mailed to you and schedule a test downtown ( in houston)

You can take the D class online and take test. With the C you have to go take the class. I was told you needed 2 years experience and 40 hours of other classes. I'm trying to get my C license.

You can substitute one year of experience with one year of college or you can take additional training to reduce the amount of experience you have to have. To take the surface water exam your experience will need to be working in a surface water plant.
