    3D Shoot With Toddler

Looking for advice from those who have experience!! Currently Planning on Shooting the Total Archery Challenge with my 2yr old son. I will be shooting with my wife along with my mom and step dad. My wife and i live in Pa so I am wanting to shoot the one in San Antonio as well as PA. We plan for the San Antonio shoot to be our vacation for the year and would like to make it as enjoyable as possible.

We are traveling to Texas the week of the San Antonio shoot to meet up with My Mom and Step Dad. We are Camping at a camp ground as close to the shoot as possible (Stone Creek) Being close to the shoot i feel is key to making this fun. If my son needs a nap we can take him back while three of us continue to shoot. Camping and being close will also be useful for things like lunch ect...

Does anyone have any advise of Other camp grounds that would be closer to this shoot. Does Natural Bridge Caverns make accommodations for those who want to camp? I am also very interested in tips from any one who has experience shooting 3d shoots with a toddler. We plan to shoot a couple local shoots starting this Saturday to practice getting through it with him. I have thought about things like simple toddler back carriers and things of this nature but not sure how shooting would go like this.

Please chime in we cant be the first family that has ventured into 3d shooting with a toddler of this age. Thanks

I don't believe there is camping at Natural Bridge. I'll be there on Saturday. No experience shooting 3d with a toddler but I never hesitate to take my kids anywhere. I'll probably have my 8 year old in tow. Put the kid in a backpack carrier and shoot away!

Do you have a running stroller? I think that would help when he got tired. Bring plenty of snacks and if he plays on iPad or something bring that. My 5 year old has been going to 3D shoots the last 3 years. He does pretty good.

I don't see you having a problem at all. Seems like you have alot of help.

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday with my wife, 9 year old daughter and 5 year old boy. My daughter and I will both be shooting!! We can't wait

What is the terrain like in this area? i know that i would not be able to use a stroller at any 3d shoot in pa. Our terrain is much too rough and is often a path that is some times hard to walk let alone push a stroller. i am familiar with the terrain i guess but what are the walking conditions. ? i was pretty confident a stroller was not an option but i could be wrong.

I have not been to this specific shoot but all of the shoots I've been to in Texas a running stroller would have worked. We did use it a couple times when he was younger. We let him walk some and my wife would carry him some since I was shooting. I see kids at shoots all the time
