My son graduated from ASU. Loved it. He stayed in Angelo and is now an OR Nurse. My daughter goes to TT and likes it. Seems much smaller than a&m or ut.
SHSU and TTU grad here. Loved my time at each school. One is in east tx, the other is in far west tx so opposite ends of the spectrum. Let me know if I can answer any questions.
I had friends that went to and graduated from all 3 of those schools and they all loved them, each has its own appeal.
I went to WTAMU for a year and really enjoyed it a lot actually liked it more than TTU and met more friends up there than I did in Lubbock. But they both are great schools and TTU gives you that big school piece of paper at the end but still has that smaller school feel like was mentioned above compared to UT or AM.
No Tarleton experience but I spent time at both Sam Houston and Angelo State before ending up at Tech. I much prefer the school and town in San Angelo to Huntsville and Sam Houston
It's tough to know what exactly you want to do with your life at 18, but it would be good if your child knew what degree he/she wants. As I'm sure you know, some school are more predisposed to certain academic areas.
