What size drop for receiver hitch

I have a 4.5 inch lift on my truck and I don't know if I should go with a 4 inch drop or a 5 1/4 inch drop. Anybody have a similar size lift and any suggestion?

Tape measure. Level trailer measure to tongue. Measure ground to hitch. Difference is your drop. Probably pull out an inch or so to account for weight on the truck if you wanted to get real close

I would get whatever you needed to make the trailer you are towing level.

If you don't want to do that, or tow multiple trailers figure on 4.5" from your lift plus tire up size. 32's to 35's is another inch and a half. Be around 6" to get back to stock height.

Thanks for the responses. I'll try measuring it with the trailer I haul the most and see what ball park that puts me in.

You can get an adjustable hitch also
