    What???

Here is an almost unbelievable tale--

“You have to look at it from every child’s point of view that was raised in the hood,” she said. “You have to understand… how he going to get his money to have clothes to go to school? You have to look at it from his point-of-view.”

There was a thread about this started last night. When I awoke it was mysteriously gone LOL. Yeah, POS.

          And the shooter was AA.

This once I was old enough to carry a hammer I went to work with my dad during the summer framing trimming whatever he was doing at the time.

The correlation was my fast finger--no correlation. Thought I had copied the story link but it was the hog pic.

Actually, I find this quote quite honest and revealing. He was raised in an environment with low expectations and few positive role models. This is not a race thing. The african-american community is just first to experience it. They are the canary in the coal mine.

Ask yourself "how would I have turned out if I was the 3rd or 4th generation child born to unwed mothers with no positive father figure or no exposure to a strong work ethic?" You don't have to look very far to find that answer.

You have to look at it from my point of view. Stay out of others people's houses and keep your hands off of things that don't belong to you so that you don't get blown away. It's better to be poor than dead.

Am I reading correctly that this was an 'armed robbery'? Not that she wasn't within her rights regardless (had it been in Texas). However that would play HUGE into my decision to or not to use deadly force.

Exactly. This doesn't excuse the behavior but it is a driving force behind what causes it.
