Need some advice on atv winch

Finally found the atv to replace my mini truck for hunting. Only thing I want added is a winch since I could be 6-15 miles in... And may not see anyone for awhile.

Only winch I've had was a warn... And it worked until it didn't

Q: is warn a reputable brand still, or riding in there old name?
Q: is superwinch comparable or even better?

Not wanting to get into $350+ winches for the amount of possible use. This won't be a " mudding" ride but will usually be in delta river bottom mud. So is like the insurance of something

    Any advise or recommendations ?

Going on an 11' Honda rincon 680

I have had good luck with superatv winches on the toys. They have not left me stranded yet

I put this one on a honda rancher, bought it and the mount plate from cabelas. Havent had to use it yet but tried it on the wheeler while on the trailer, it pulled the atv, trailer and all without much effort. http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/produ...C=cat153414180

I have ran several of the badlands winches from harbor freight for several years with absolutely no issues. They get used and abused and keep ticking. Way cheaper too.

I have a Superwinch on my Suzuki, never had any trouble with it. Other than the junky control switch going out, or corroding. The winch itself still works.

x3 Best value out there in my opinion. Have them from 5000k to 12000k and have never had a single issue. Even used them underwater.

Have a Badlands 5k winch on my Ranger and used it a dozen times with no issues. Had 800 lbs of secrete in the bed, stuck in a ditch 5 miles from anything and had the winch not been there, I'd have been walking.

Viper. They use larger motors than warn and have metal gears. I have a 4500 on my ranger with synthetic cable was under your budget

Those harbor freight winches are great for the money. I've abused 2 that I have and still going strong.
