Building 6 New Wench Feeders, Need Barrels

    Hello GS,

We are building 6 new quality wench feeders for the new lease this year and I am acquiring parts for the build. Where is the best place to buy quality barrels? Also in the process of looking for best place to buy timing control units as well. Any advice is appreciated. I live in the Dallas Area and we will be building at my in laws in Waco so any of that general area or between would be great, but would also be willing to travel a little bit for the right fit. Thanks guys.

Why in the world would you feed wenches? They won't leave if you keep that up and the next thing you know you'll be married, broke, and won't be able to hunt/fish as much as you used too..

Then the wenches tend to let themselves go and the next thing you know you need a winch to winch your wench into the truck.

Definitely had that one coming..... Not really sure how I missed that, I have a hard enough time attempting to keep my wife in line much less a line of wenches waiting to be fed.....lol

Dallas steel drums has the 55 gallon steel barrels for $42.50. Am I right in thinking that a 55 gallon holds 300 pounds of corn? Could be wrong that's just what I was thinking....

Fulton metals here in Denton has the 55 gallon drums for $24.50 I believe and I've bought them from D and L in Sanger and Aubrey for $14 I think it was.

Awesome, D and L in Aubry has them for $15. Anybody think that can be beat or is that probably about as good as it's going to get?

In Waco. Bar None feeds has the best prices on The Timer in town. Down close to my place there are barrels for sale at $12 ea. I could check them out tonight. For funnels and lids I use Brazos feed.

Yes sir...best place for new clean drums too. I bought a couple of 85gal barrels from them a couple of months ago.

TBHer Ivanite (Barrett) works there as a manager or something. You might send him a PM and check prices. He might be able to cut you a deal.

As for the feeder units. ForEverlast is a site sponsor here and they have a great lower unit.

I also like Native Outdoors in Royse City.
