I just found out that I'm possibly going to be able to hunt a place that's just west of Jarrell. Any of you guys hunt out that way? I'm assuming the deer are pretty similar to what I see around here in the Temple/Belton area, but I would love to see some pics of nice deer anyone has taken in that area.

It's a few miles west of town on 487. My brother in law owns a rock quarry and about 300 acres. I'm going to ride along with the guy who takes care of all the land tomorrow, and get a look at the place. From what I'm told, it's a pretty sweet setup.Comment

I grew up in Jarrell and currently hunt between Jarrell and Salado and live between Florence and Salado. There are some decent deer and a number of hogs in the area. If you want to PM me the name or which quarry it is I can probably tell you more what to expect.
