    Weird injury

I moved into a new house recently, the yard is full of weeds so I was out there yesterday evening digging up all of the weeds so I could mow. Something happened and now I have no feeling in my thumb. It started while I was digging and hasn't stopped since about 6 yesterday evening. It starts where the first knuckle hits the hand through the tip and only on one side of the thumb, not the entire thing. It feels like when your arm or foot fell asleep and its trying to wake up and burning a little. Starting to worry me a little bit. Any ideas on what happened?

I'd go get it checked out, it could be a lot of different things. I won't speculate but you need to go see a doctor pretty quick

I'd get it checked out. Sounds like a pinched nerve.

My thoughts. May be something that happened in your neck/back even though you feel it in your thumb.

My wife said if there's no sign of injury you need to go to the doctor. Could range from nerve damage to bug bite

Were you wearing gloves? Sometimes gloves can be too tight around the thumb area and slowly constrict that nerve.

Ive had the same feeling some time like that too. Usually I touched somehting that I was allergic to. But if this is your first time this happened to you go get checked out either way.

I was wearing gloves but they are the same ones I wear all of the time. I think I remember the little shovel hitting a rock and that is when it started.
