Does anybody have any info on the conditions up around Shreveport? The girls and I are supposed to be leaving this afternoon for a volleyball tournament in Shreveport this weekend and I don't want to get caught in a dangerous situation if I can avoid it. Been watching the radar and the Red River has got some good rainfall yesterday and today but I can't find any info about the water levels. AccuWeather is showing flood warnings for the area but where can I get updated road/driving conditions? Any info is appreciated as we are trying to get on the road around 3:00 this afternoon.

Flood waters have receded from last week and major highways open for travel

My boy is driving from BR to Houston for Spring Break, crazy kid and his friends are taking the car I just bought him cross country!

I'm sending him down 27 to 82

If he can make through during the middle of the day he will be better off. Cheniere has around 4000 workers on site everyday and most of them are brought in on buses. So in the morning and afternoon there is a non stop trail of buses bring workers to and from the site.

At about 8PM TXDOT called our department and told them that they were opening it up both ways.

..... this after they said it would be closed at least until Tuesday.

Made the East bound run to New Iberia yesterday around 3 pm. East bound was a breeze, West bound was stacked up for miles in two spots between the border and PA.
