Good deal, just saw this, here's the bridge he was coming down.

I plan to go this route in the morning headed into Louisiana. Any certain time frame that I should avoid?

Where are you coming from and headed to? Might be a better route.

Shift change at refineries will cause most of the problems. My guy came through around noon and made good time, the map shows it jammed up now from the bridge almost to Johnson Bayou High School which is about half way to Holly Beach.

You can use google map and hit the traffic function and it will show you red, orange, and yellow where the slow downs are. Waze will do the same thing.

After 8am and before 3pm if your going that way would probably be best. If you could go thru in the middle of the night.

I10 closing at TX and LA line

I made it from Houston to Lake Charles last night around 7pm just before they closed I10.

                    Texas side.

                    Louisiana pasture

I left Lake Charles at 2:45 this afternoon. Hwy 27 moved pretty well, but Hwy 87 was a parking lot...literally.

There were 3 accidents over a 10 mile span. With no where for the traffic to go we were parked for an hour.

I didn't make it to the MLK bridge in Port Arthur until a little after 6pm. Even with all of the delays it took around the same amount of time to get back to Houston as the shortest route had I headed for a northern crossing.

once you go over MLK bridge towards louisiana and take left at stop sign I only work about 1.5 miles down at the Valero ship terminal. yesterday afternoon it took me a solid 1 hour to get from my work to Johnson bayou! then after that it was smooth sailing for some weird reason.

I was afraid of that. That route is not designed for that kinda traffic.

the picture of all the traffic stopped, was there any cars going into Louisiana? I know they stopped traffic for a good bit at the MLK bridge. some idot was trying to jump off the bridge!

I passed you somewhere along the way going towards lake Charles, as I left work on the island at 450

Seems to be okay this morning, I have 2 trucks that went through there at 3am and 7:30 am with no trouble.
