    Gonna break a leg

Pulled up a bunch of cross fencing today that's not needed on my pasture. H braces were 8 to 10 inch posts sunk 4 ft deep. What do y'all do to fill these holes in or will they on there own? I feel like if someone steps in its gonna hurt someone.

Ok, so the posts are new and in good condition so saving. It did cross my mind that obviously a big hole in the dirt could go away via more dirt but don't have any unless I make more holes. Will they compress back in on their own or do I need to buy some fill?

I should add I'm in the madisonville area. No rocks and black soil. Real soft stuff here.

If it's soft dirt or sand they'll eventually cave in.

Depends on how fast you want them filled in. If you have any cattle/ horses I would go ahead and get something to fill them asap

You can't find a hump or any high spot that you could just get some dirt without digging a hole ? If not, then you'll have to get some somewhere else and tote it to your holes.

I would think you could skim the ground and get enough soil to fill holes without making more holes.

I am in the same area. It will take a long time to fill in.
