    Spike Age Question

Ok, laugh at me if you must. But to me, this deer looks "older" than most spikes we see on this lease (outside of Livingston) East Tx. Could he be a 2.5 year old? He has a bigger body and uh more manly. What is your opinion. We will take him if he shows himself during daylight.

He hit my vanilla flavored hand corn the night I put it out. He waited less than an hour after I left the popup stand I put up.

He dose not look like a yearling to me! But, he could be a late fawn from last year I guess, he would be ahead of this years and behind last years crop?

i'd say watch out there are deer, like people, that are just bigger bodied than others, i.e. Shaq (proably look 14 @ 7) so i'd not be so quick to stick, a big mature buck where i hunt is 160-170lbs. then one year a guy shot one that tipped the scale at 210, only one ever over 175lbs. bet he looked pretty big at 1 1/2 too.
