Hand Thrown corn... how many do it?

In addition to your feeder, if you utilize one, how many folks hand throw corn? How much do you typically carry into the field and how do you carry it? I usually put as much as can be held in a walmart bag tied up.

I never hunt over feeders, but I will put out about 15-25 lbs of hand corn. I'm thinking of using protein pellets this year....

We throw hand corn in addition to the feeder. I usually throw 2-2.5 gallons of corn out. We fill up a 5 gallon bucket and then use it for hand corn for 2 hunts.

          always!

I take a big ziploc of it and put it in my shooting lanes every hunt.

I myself never use hand thrown corn. I use plenty of kicked and elbow'd corn.

x2 , except we mix in a little horse & mule sweet feed with our corn. About half a bucket worth. The deer love the horse & mule feed, very sweet smelling.

I carry a 2# coffee can of corn everytime I go to the feeder to throw in the other shooting lanes.

Half of a Walmart bag because the deer usually are at the feeder before it goes off and they need something to munch on while they wait.

Everyday, when my wife gets home from work, she rattles a bucket in the back yard, tosses about 2 lbs out before the feeder goes off, by the time she gets back in the house and starts dinner, THEY ARE THERE!!!! Doesn't work for me, guess they are afraid I'm gonna shoot 'em.

What they don't know is she has figured out how to shoot thru the burgler bars from the dining room table...so they better watch out when she see the one she wants. That is her deer stand during the week becasue the SA traffic on hwy 281 getting home, STINKS!!! It gets her there to late to make it to my blinds. Weekends we hunt together on the ranch, which is only about a mile from my house!

I hunt on my land and throw out about a Walmart bag full before I get in my blind. I get to hunt everyday, but have to be careful right now due to my Africa adventure!!! But, wouldn't miss a night if I can help it. Cold front rolled in last night, weather is getting awesome!!

i hunt a feeder and will get to my stands very early to put feed out in the areas i hope to have a shot at as well as a little more under the feeder. just helps to keep them there a little longer. i also use a large ziploc, it seems to be quieter than anything else i have tried.
